Loam is Nell Farrant and Marco Reyes. Nell trained in horticulture at the botanic garden and still draws every plan by hand. Marco spent a decade building patios for other people's drawings before deciding the drawings should live closer to the shovels. They started Loam in 2021 with one truck and one rule: never take on more gardens than you can walk in a day.
Today it is the two of them and a build crew of three. Everyone on payroll, no rotating subcontractors, and a founder on your site every day it is active. We take on about twenty gardens a year. That is the number where each one still gets argued over.

Design slots are usually gone by late February, and care routes fill by March. If you are wondering whether January is too early to write, it is not. It is exactly on time.
Three sentences and a few phone photos are plenty: what you have, what you wish it was, and roughly when. Nell reads every note herself and replies within two working days.
